PROGRAM
|
The Toronto West Regional Heritage Fair is a vibrant community celebration where local museums, historical associations, and multicultural groups come together to offer displays, demonstrations, and entertainment. After the opening ceremonies, students rotate through adjudication, educational workshops and cultural performances. The public is welcome during all open hours allowing students to share their stories with the community, however, visitors are asked to respect the privacy of the adjudication process.

“The York Pioneer and Historical Society wishes to present an award known as The York Pioneers’ Award to a student who has completed a project based on an historic theme for an Ontario Heritage Fair. The subject of the activity should concern a person, place, occasion or object within the original boundaries of York Township: from Hwy 50 in the west, to the Township of Georgina in the north, and to the eastern edges of the Townships of Markham, Whitchurch - Stouffville and East Gwillimbury.
The award will consist of a framed certificate and several family passes to historic sites within these boundaries.”
